We have connected with another top-quality Alberta whitetail outfitter. Located 200 miles northeast of Edmonton near the Lac La Biche area, this operation consists of 63,000 acres of family owned land and 40,000 acres of private access leased land. This is fantastic whitetail country with good genetics and trophy class deer. Terrain here varies from Boreal forests to farm land with lots of alfalfa fields. Stand hunting and spot/stalk are the methods used to hunt these huge north country bucks. 2003 was another very successful year with 80% of the hunters successful and three B&C record book bucks taken!!! This famous South Georgia plantation is 22,000 exclusive acres of primitive, family-owned land populated by deer, quail and wild turkey...with over 1000 acres of ponds and small lakes! In this pristine setting, those who love the outdoors rediscover their passion for the great outdoors. A limited number of whitetail deer hunts are available each year because LRP only offers "trophy deer" hunting. 14,000 acres is utilized strictly for trophy deer management with numerous food plots located throughout this area. The average buck harvested at LRP is 4 1/2 years old! These deer have been featured on Mossy Oak's "Hunting the Country" and "Mega Bucks VI" video. 2003, the third year as a commercial operation, was another successful season with some great bucks harvested. Hunter success was once again very respectable under their limited harvest program. The 2002 season resulted in a 90% hunter opportunity ratio and a 68% actual harvest of trophy bucks! The biggest buck of the '02 season scored 146 B&C...'01 produced a 270 pound buck measuring 152"!! Kansas has nurtured a well-deserved reputation as a hotspot for BIG whitetails. If you're looking for some of the best "unknown whitetail territory" in the US, you have found it! This outfitter leases over 10,000 private acres in east Kansas, the majority located on the eastern edge of the historic Flint Hills. The terrain in this region consists of rolling grassland mixed with contoured crop land and timbered waterways...creating essential edge habitat and travel corridors needed for great whitetails. Bucks are big bodied and healthy animals, due to year-round feeding on the vast variety of row crops grown in the area and other natural food sources available. Expect bucks in the 120-160 class with an occasional 180 incher! 2003 was another successful archery season, with 100% shooting opportunities and a 35% actual harvest for bow hunters! Bow season bucks generally range from 120-150 P&Y...'03 bow bucks averaged 137 P&Y!! The special early muzzleloader season was again highly successful. Four out of eight muzzleloaders harvested a buck...two mid-120's, a 140 and a 150 B&C! Rifle hunters encountered some of the worst conditions this outfitter has ever recorded. Despite the terrible, nasty weather during the 10-day season and the effects of a full moon, a 130 and a 140 B&C buck were harvested. These ranches, which lie below the famed Golden Triangle of Texas, encompass 37,000 acres in a region (Nuevo Leon/Coahuila) that has some of the most preferred deer forage available in Northern Mexico. Terrain varies from heavy bush, to hills and valleys, to "arroyos." 2003/04 season rifle hunters were 100% successful on bucks ranging from 125 to 153 B&C!
