WFL 04-1730          Illinois

Nestled between the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers in western Illinois is a veritable wingshooter's paradise.  For generations, the Mississippi River flyway has offered the most discriminating waterfowl hunters an opportunity to challenge themselves with a diverse selection of ducks and geese that take wing down this great flyway.  Experience the thrill of hunting diver ducks on the mighty Mississippi, or the wary mallards, pintails, widgeon and teal who can't resist the flooded corn, milo and bean fields that lie throughout nearly five miles of riverfront land.  Totaling approximately 1250 deeded acres...the river bottoms, sloughs, flooded crop fields and timber, large stands of cottonwood and sycamore trees, and dense tangles of weeds that spring up when flood waters recede...makes this type of terrain in high demand.  This outfitter manages his waterfowling property very soundly, shooting some areas only in the morning, and resting other areas entirely on certain days of the week.  There is also a sanctuary where no hunting is allowed at any time, providing an area for the propagation of all wildlife within the environs.  Combine waterfowl with upland birds and you will accumulate memories that will bring you back again and again!
