Just the name brings a sense of excitement and adventure.  World-class hunts for trophy stags on the North Island.  Fair chase hunts...free ranging animals...no game preserves...all hunting done on private access land!  These are high country mountain hunts, very physical and require lots of walking, so get in shape.  Combination hunts can be arranged for a variety of species on the North Island...Red Stag, Sika Stag, Sambar Stag, Fallow Buck or Wild Ram/Goat.  Hunt the Southern Alps (South Island) for Himalayan Tahr, European Chamois and Rusa hunting in New Caledonia.  Year after year, shooting opportunities consistently average nearly 100% for all species and over 80% actual harvest on quality trophies!!  Last season rifle hunters were 100% successful!  A truly unique hunting experience in the South Pacific.

RATES:  Daily Guide Rate-$400 US.  Price includes 1 on 1 guiding, airport pickup/return, meals, lodging and field care of your trophy (s).

DATES:  Red Stag - Mid February through August (Rut is late March/April); Sika Stag - Late February to Mid May (Rut is April); Sambar Stag - Mid August through September (Weekend hunting only!); Fallow Buck - March through September (Rut is April); Himalayan Tahr & Chamois - April through August (Rut is mid April through May).  Rusa Stag - July through August (Rut).

ACCOMMODATIONS:  Modern ranch house lodging.  All meals during the hunt are included.

LICENSE COSTS:  All hunting licenses are included in the price of the hunt.  Firearms License-$25 NZ.  Game bird license ($50 NZ) and fishing license ($30-$50 NZ depending on area) are optional and not included.

TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS:  Point of outfitting is Masterton, New Zealand on the North Island.  Airport pickup/return to Palmerston North is provided.

BOOKING REQUIREMENTS:  50% deposit of base price (daily rates) is required to reserve dates.  Balance is due 30 days prior to the hunt in certified funds.  Cancellation policy-deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to another year or another hunter at outfitter's discretion.
